Frequently Asked Questions

 

1. Do you follow the syllabus?
Our Educators follow the content of work as prescribed by the Department of Education.

2. Is the school registered?
An extra classes or tutoring school does not have a registration requirement with the department of education, but as a company we are registered and accredited with ETDP Seta as a training provider.

3. How many learners are in a class maximum?
Maximum 30 per class but generally our classes are very small with minimum of 5 learners

4. Do you take part time or re-write learners?
No! We don’t take any; we only take full time learners

5. Are you good? Are children passing?
All our learners show drastic improvements especially those with good class attendance.

6. How long have you been operating?
We opened our first branch In Dobsonville 2009 and our second branch in Protea South in 2012…

7. Who is teaching?
We are having a combination of qualified teachers and 4th year university students

8. How long is one subject?
They range from 45min to 1:30min.

9. Do you attend during holidays?
No! We attend only in June to replace Saturdays of non-attendance during holidays.

10. Do you offer reports?
We offer three reports in a year during our quarterly parents meetings, with certificate awards for top performers

Payment Terms And Conditions

 


1. Tuition fee is for all academic subject stipulated earlier including leadership skills.


2. On registration day a once off registration fee of R500 (non-refundable) is payable plus 1st month’s tuition fee.


3. Tuition fee for Grade 4-9 is R650 per month and for Grade 10-12 is R700 per month.


4. There are two payment options available advance payment system (3 & 11 months) and monthly installments payable by debit order system (non-negotiable) on specified dates. Clients who insist on paying cash at the bank will incur a R30.00 cash handling fee.


5. All school fees are payable in advanced by the 7th of the month.


6. A penalty of R50 will be levied on all late payments made after the 7th of the month.


7. A penalty of R100 will be levied against all debit orders that are returned unpaid.


8. Recurring penalties will results in the account changing into a “high risk” status.


9. History Makers will attempt to collect all monies owed to the school, however failure to collect will lead to account handed over to attorneys.

Cancellation Policy

 


1. For cancellation of attendance a cancellation form must be submitted with a 30 days’ notice, if the learner stops attending without official letter submitted, the learner will still be deemed as registered and will be fully liable for tuition fee incurred. Lack of adherence to this may lead to the account being handed over to the attorneys.


2. In case of a parent having challenges with payments, the situation must be reported before payment is due, so that a payment arrangements can be made.


3. Payment is not based on attended days, a full monthly payment is payable even if other Saturdays or all were not attended.


4. When one (1) month’s payment is outstanding the school has the right to refuse access to the learner, if payment is still not settled.
